Kassandra Ramsey is the producer of the network’s show on college athletics, “Court-2-Court with The Esquire Coach”. The show provides a deep dive into college athletes’ name, image, and likeness (NIL) rights and the latest in college sports news. The show is aired daily on Bowie Community Television on Verizon channel 11 and Comcast channel 11 in Bowie, MD. The show is seen throughout Bowie, MD and the surrounding areas of Anne Arundel and Prince George’s County, MD. The show is also live streamed on the Bowie TV YouTube page.
Kassandra is also a sports and entertainment attorney, writer, and speaker. She is the founder of The Law Office of Kassandra Ramsey, P.L.L.C. where she assists entrepreneurs, athletes, entertainers, and creatives with creating, running, and protecting their businesses. Kassandra has assisted clients with federally registering their trademarks and copyrights and with ensuring that they have the proper contracts in place to effectively run and protect their businesses. Additionally, Kassandra is a writer and advocate for college athletes’ rights. She has written extensively on the subject and has authored two e-books aimed at assisting current and prospective college athletes with getting the most out of the emerging name, image, and likeness (NIL) opportunities.
Most recently, Kassandra authored a law review article addressing gender equity issues regarding NIL Collectives. The article is entitled “NIL Collectives – Title IX’s Latest Challenge” and was published in the Cardozo Arts & Entertainment Law Journal. Kassandra is passionate about educating current and prospective college athletes and their families on NIL. She runs a website, NIL with The Esquire Coach, that serves as a resource for all things NIL. Kassandra created a NIL Contract Checklist to assist college and high school athletes with reviewing NIL deal contracts. A native of Chesapeake, Virginia, Kassandra received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Virginia State University and her Juris Doctor from Howard University School of Law. Kassandra is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and New York. In her free time, Kassandra enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Kassandra has also begun to provide on location coverage at sporting events. She covered the 2024 CIAA tournament. Kassandra will begin covering the Washington Mystics in what is expected to be a very exiting WNBA season.
